Their Dragon Mate by Elle Boon ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview @ElleBoon1 #CursedHallowsEve #FatedMates

Blurb:

She’s always taken the path less traveled. They’ve always barreled through roadblocks. Can they find a way to be together without losing themselves?

Lula’s a Fierce Dragon... She’s given bits of herself to others when she was sure she had no mate of her own, even knowing it would cost her life at some point.

Atika and Abyle, Twins with A Purpose... They lived to protect their clan, until their brother took over as alpha. Just as they think they can relax, they meet their truemate. A feisty dragon female who runs from them.

The Triad Bond... Their beast won’t be denied, but finding their little dragon proves harder than they’d anticipated. However, once they bond with her, there’s no denying the love they share. What they didn’t foresee was a stranger from Lula’s past coming for her and her mother.

Will the trio have a chance at happily ever after, or will the Dragon King who lost his greatest treasures demand back, or kill who stands in his way?

Get ready for an exciting return of some of your favorite characters in this stand-alone...sort of “wink” story. You just might hear from the Fey Queen, the bad boy alpha Kellen, and what would a reunionish story be without #dontlookdown aka Creed.

Excerpt:

“Jenna, you realize I’m the alpha here, don’t you?”

“You realize you’re out-femaled here, don’t you?” Jenna retorted.

“Both of you, shut it before I set your asses on fire,” Lula growled. “Goddess, I just sounded like a wolfie.”

“That’s unacceptable. Be like a bear. We rumble.” Atika slid next to her, his nose tickling her ear.

“Beary, I will—” her words died in her throat as Abyle moved in on her other side.

“Boys, the three of you won’t fit through the door...or you will, my bad.” Jenna laughed.

“What the flying monkey asses did you do?” Kellen roared, and this time the liquor bottles shattered.

“Kellen Motherfucking Styles, I’m not cleaning up that mess,” Laikyn yelled.

“Wolfies, stop yelling. Aw, look at my little wolfie babies.” Lula hurried over to the little prison Laikyn had her sons corralled in. “What kind of thing is this, and what did they do to be put in confinement? Surely they can get out for good behavior?”

Lyric, the little female she loved like a crazy sister, laughed from behind her. “It’s called a playgate, only it’s been shifterfied. You know, for shifter babes.”

“I’m assuming that is a good thing?” Lula bent down to pick up a little boy in each arm. The sound of two bears moaning made her blush.

“Son-of-a-fucking-dragonlovingbear,” Abyle growled.

“Down, boys.” Jenna patted Abyle, her touch like a mother soothing a child.

“Um, Jenna, my dragon don’t like you touching them.”

Power flooded the room moments before two men, each holding a little girl, entered.

“For fucks sake. What did I say about that shit?” Kellen muttered.

“Temper temper, wolf.”

“Damien, didn’t I say to give me ten minutes?” Jenna asked.

“Your two crotch goblins wouldn’t wait.”

They all turned at the booming voice. Lula grinned, loving the batshit crazy male, son of Satan and an angel.

“Creed, you probably shouldn’t refer to these two little angels as crotch goblins.”

Creed pointed at Jenna. “That’s what she calls them.”

Jenna had a finger over her lips making a zipping motion. “I mean, they kinda gobbled their way out of my vajayjay, and they gobble everything they get their mouths on. Goddess, don’t glare at me with such censure on your faces or no fucky fucky for you two.”

“Please make her stop talking, Damien, or you, Lucas. Surely, one of you tops her,” Kellen growled while Jenna laughed.

“Keep on chuckling, but you’re leaking, so who gets the last laugh?” Creed folded his arms with a nod.

“Dammit. See, what you’ve done? You brought them, and my boobs wake up.” She stomped over, grabbing one of the little girls with a snarl, smiling down at the baby.

“You’re not gonna whip a boob out and feed them here are you?” Xan asked.

“Enough,” Lula roared. “This is not a circus show. Jenna, take your babies and your boobs, and I don’t mean your mates, though they can be boobs too, home to feed. Kellen, I’ll need the use of your office for only a moment then I’ll take my err, mates to be, maybe, off somewhere else. Everyone who is not a bear and or a dragon, exit the office. And that means everyone who is not Lula, Atika or Abyle, get the fuck out of here. Now, please.” She tacked the last bit on, so she didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings.

“Damn, our little dragon grew some balls. I like it.” Laikyn said. She and Lyric high-fived each other as they turned from the entryway.

“Yeah, well, don’t take any notes from her. You can’t shift into a huge-ass dragon and burn a forest down,” Kellen muttered before scooping up his boys.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Hello and welcome, readers! We have Elle Boon here with us today. Elle, thanks for visiting us.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?

Hi, and thank you so much for having me here. I’ve been writing for just over five years, or rather published for five years. In all actuality, I’ve only been writing for a little over six years though, which might seem crazy, but it’s true.

Tell us about your title featured in A Cursed All Hallows' Eve:

A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve: Their Dragon Mate is the story of my crazy dragon Lula who if you’re a reader of mine, you’ve met throughout my Iron Wolves and my Mystic Wolves series. She’s kinda popped in as a little side character who has helped the other characters out of situations. She’s always kinda been this larger than life, funny heroine who had wanted to write a story about but hadn’t found the right time to do so. About a year ago I was writing a story with a bear and one of my Mystic Wolves girls and Lula popped in and did a little thing (she’s a huge pink dragon and thought she’d never find a mate since she and her mama had been exiled from their realm before Lula had been born) so she gives little bits of herself to save her friends. Well, as she helps the latest heroine, she come face-to-face with not one, but two bears who set her world a spinning. I had no clue that was coming because I’m a punster when I write. So, I sat back and thought, holy shite, how am I gonna write a menage for Lula? Well, I sort of thought I’d do a chapter a month in my newsletter, but then life interrupted and then bam, this anthology came, and Their Dragon Mate flowed.

Lula and her guys are so perfect because she’s a pink dragon she needed more than your average shifter, she needed two bears who were also more than just grizzly bears. Of course, I’ll let you read to find out exactly what I’m talking about, but trust me, I made them...extra “wink.

How did you come up with the storyline?

The story started when I finished writing Atlas’s Forbidden Mate in my Mystic Wolves series. However, I wrote this one as a stand-alone so that new to me readers wouldn’t feel as though they were lost.

What inspires you to write?

I find inspiration in just about everything around me. For instance, my girlfriend’s dad who has passed away was a very funny and unique man. One day while we were parked next to one another waiting for our kids to get out of school I rolled down my window to chat with him as he sat in her van and heard him say “Tammy, this van is gotdamn offensive to my nose.” I took that little bit of conversation and put it in a story. I take ordinary things or parts of conversations, twist them, turn them, and make them more.

Tell us about your other books:

I have over 40 other titles ranging from shifters, gods and goddesses, badass MC alphas, Navy SEALs, and contemporary. I love them all because they are all at the heart romance with the story revolving around the H/H. I always seem to have a conflict outside of the romance instead of the H/H. So, not like one of the soap opera novels LOL and you are always guaranteed a happily ever after with each one of my stories, never a cliffy or serial. And while I strive to write each title as a stand-alone, I do think once you are on say book 6 or 7 in a series, you will find they read better in order LOL.

My first book in most of my series are either FREE or set at $.99 so that readers can try one of my stories and see if they like my work and hopefully fall in love with my worlds. I do also tend to cross my paranormal people over into each other’s worlds, because I can LOL. But again, you can totally read the Iron Wolves without having to read the Mystic first and vice versa.

Ice Princess #Excerpt #FantasyRomance #FairytaleRomance

Ice magic and a passion that burns...

Princess Lily is determined to save her kingdom from the evil influence of the sorcerer in their midst. When she makes a stand, he curses her beloved to turn into a dragon and casts a spell that seals her in a block of ice where she sleeps for all eternity.

Eternity arrives earlier than expected when Rick Stamos tears down a wall to the tavern he's renovating. He never expects to find a woman encased in ice hidden in his basement. After melting the ice, he's more surprised when the woman wakes and claims he is her beloved.

Did the spell that kept Lily frozen for so long also curse Rick? Is he really her beloved or a stranger with the same face?

Excerpt:

He stretched his right arm toward the ice, his fingers splayed wide. He forced his tense muscles to relax, closed his eyes and concentrated on the warmth deep within. A flame flickered there, light in color, hidden deep inside him. Once he located the flame, he stoked it, encouraging it to grow, expand, fueled by his desire to bring the heat to surface. The fire sparked and lengthened, grew until the warmth spread to his chest.

He focused the heat to travel through his arm to his right hand where his fingers spread open.

He placed his hand on the ice, closed his eyes and concentrated on heating his hand until he felt the solid block beneath his fingers soften. The ice melted beneath his touch. He blinked his eyes to watch the solid turn to liquid.

“Hey,” Pete said, smiling. “That fire-breathing stuff comes in handy sometimes.”

“Shut up.” Rick forced his concentration back to the heat he controlled with his hands. It was a trick he had discovered when he was a teenager. He’d accidentally burned down the shed in their backyard because Rick’s temper flared when he found out that Pete had ‘borrowed’ his bike and returned it with two flat tires.

Since then, he tried to keep his power under wraps, but on occasion and with no one other than Pete or Steph around, Rick tested it. It was like a muscle. To keep it under control, he had to use it from time to time, to maintain his discipline so it wouldn’t flare to the surface without warning one day.

It would be more than embarrassing if he burned someone’s car on the highway if they cut him off. Road rage sent to a whole new level with a guy who could spark flame from his fingertips.

It took some time to melt the ice. There was an entire casket full, but after a while the clothing on the woman’s body became visible.

She wore a long white, velvet gown trimmed with lace and satin. Her hands were folded over her chest with a single rose clasped between her bejeweled fingers. She was elegantly dressed as a woman of nobility and placed with great care before her body was in some way submerged in water and frozen.

Rick wondered if she was someone of importance. A woman lost within the pages of history and time.

The ice near her head melted away revealing a face of rare beauty. Perfect, pale skin with red-rose colored lips. Her midnight black hair cascaded in waves around her face and shoulders, dampened by the melting ice. Matching black eyelashes swept down over her cheeks.

Rick wished he’d known the color of her eyes. As he stared at the woman, a humming began in his blood, a strange sense of familiarity itched in his brain.

Had he seen this woman before?

It was obviously not possible. Perhaps he’d seen a woman with her likeness somewhere. An actress on television or a movie. Or someone in the tabloids.

Pete whistled with appreciation from his elbow.

“I have to admit,” Pete said. “She’s hot for a dead girl.”

Rick rolled his eyes.

“What?” Pete said as if seeing his brother’s reaction. “You don’t think?”

“No,” Rick said. “I admit it. She’s beautiful.”

“More than beautiful. She’s exquisite. Like a porcelain doll. And the way she’s posed in the block of ice.” Pete paused and leaned over her for a closer look. “She reminds me of someone.”

“You, too?” Relief swamped Rick. He wasn’t the only one with this nagging sense of familiarity. “She reminds me of someone, too, but I just can’t place her face.”

“Snow White.”

“What?”

“You know,” Pete sighed. “The fairy tale. Snow White and those dwarfs. Or maybe Sleeping Beauty. I get those two mixed up. There’s a lot of comatose gals in fairy tales.”

“That’s not what I meant,” Rick said, shaking his head. “I meant a real person. Not some imaginary fairy tale girl.”

“Maybe she’s not so imaginary.” Pete waved his head. “Maybe one of us should kiss her.”

“What?”

“Kiss her to break the spell.”

“You’re insane.”

“You never know.”

“Yeah, you’re right. You never know anything. Ever.”

Rick continued to stare at the woman as the ice melted into puddles of water on the stone floor. He eased back the heat in his hands and then folded his arms across his chest.

“I wonder who she was.”

“A princess. Maybe a queen.”

Rick glanced at Pete with a raised eyebrow.

“Well, she must be someone important. Look at the way she’s dressed.” An exact echo of Rick’s earlier thoughts.

Rick bent over the woman, taking in her beauty once more and the deep suspicion he knew her. His gaze swept over her face and form, then fell to the rose. It was a rose in full bloom. Not wilted with age, neglect or natural decay. A rose with full, blood-red petals on a stem laced with sharp thorns.

How could a flower remain in such perfect condition in these types of circumstances? The whole situation seemed incredulous. If Rick hadn’t known better, he’d say this whole thing had been set up as some prank.

He pried the rose away from her cold fingers, taking the flower in his hands to inspect more closely.

“I guess she could be nobility,” Rick said. “But she—”

A gasp stopped him from speaking. The sound came from the woman.

Both Rick and his brother stumbled back a few feet, stopping to stare at the now breathing woman on the remaining block of cracked and melting ice.

“Did she?”

“Yeah, I think.”

Rick tilted his head, staring at the woman’s ample bosom rising and falling with each breath.

Then her black eyelashes flickered across her cheeks, sweeping up to reveal the greenest eyes Rick had ever seen on another human being. They were a deep, vibrant emerald color that appeared almost inhuman and yet so beautiful he couldn’t compare them to anything else.

The woman blinked and took another deep, gasping breath.

The rose fell, forgotten from his fingertips as Rick returned to the woman’s side and knelt beside her.

As soon as her gaze met his, she smiled. Her lips curved and her face brightened with love and warmth and radiance. An electric shock zipped through his arms and legs, settling deep in his chest. Rick knew at that moment he was lost.

“Ashford.” The woman’s voice was like a song of spring. Light, full of hope, happiness and renewal. “You found me.”
