Unsanctified by Kat Parrish ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview #CursedHallowsEve
Blurb:
Alissa's life changed when she found the Codex of the Red Spider disguised as a forgotten book on a dusty shelf in a small suburban thrift store. The knowledge in the codex transcribed straight from the goddess transformed every aspect of her existence and gave her the life she’d always wanted, and the boy she’d always wanted as well.
But on this Halloween, Alissa will learn the goddess she serves is a fickle deity, and there's always a price to pay for her favor.
This coming-of-age short story set during Halloween is a cautionary tale reminding us to be careful what we wish for.
Excerpt:
They hatch adders' eggs and weave the spider's web; He who eats of their eggs dies, and from that which is crushed a snake breaks forth.—Isaiah 59:5
“Hey, Lissa,” Callie Rhodes said as she sidled up to Alissa Novak in the hallway outside their first period English class. “Cute shoes,” she observed as she synchronized her steps to keep pace with the shorter girl. Callie had tried on the exact same pair of shoes at Metroshoe Warehouse, but they hadn’t flattered her long, narrow feet. Callie was a pretty girl, but she had big feet, a flaw her loser little brother was always happy to point out.
“Have you been borrowing my kicks again? “ he’d asked her once in front of Jay-Jay. “They’re all stretched out.”
She’d been mortified. Jay-Jay had thought it was funny. It was a good thing he was so cute, because even her mother thought Jay-Jay was dumb as a box of rocks. Her mother wasn’t one to mince words, at least not when it came to criticizing Callie, but Jay-Jay came from money; and since it was pretty clear Callie wasn’t college material, her mother had set her sights on marrying her off to the highest bidder.
“Face it honey,” her mother had said to Callie the first time a clerk had delivered the bad news that the shoes she’d had her heart set on did not come in a size nine-and-a-half. “You’ll never be a foot model.” Her mother had smirked while making her harsh appraisal, and even the clerk—a bored teenager who was working to buy her first car—was taken aback by her lack of maternal tenderness.
Callie had only been eleven at the time, and she’d been crushed. She hadn’t understood why it made her mother happy that she couldn’t get the cute pink shoes with the sparkly laces she wanted so badly.
Instead, Callie’s mother had bought her a pair of ugly high tops that had stupid daisies on a background of black and white checks. When Callie had objected to the substitution, her mother had slapped her and told her to be grateful she had shoes because some kids didn’t have feet.
Callie had started to cry then because her grandma was missing a foot because she had something called die beesties, and missing feet were gross.
Her mother had felt bad, then, and had taken Callie to get ice cream before they went home—a double-dip of pralines ‘n cream and mint chocolate chip, which were Callie’s favorites. She forgave her mother for slapping her, but she threw the shoes into the back of her closet and refused to wear them unless her mother made a big fucking deal about it, and then she only put them on to make her shut up.
She’d hated those shoes so much that when they disappeared from her locker while she was showering after P.E., she was glad. Until the gym teacher called her mother to tell her that Callie needed her to bring another pair of shoes to school so she wouldn’t be walking around barefoot.
Callie’s mom had shown up with a pair of worn-out flip-flops that probably belonged to their maid. She’d yelled at Callie for being so careless, and Callie had started crying while everyone in the locker room pretended not to notice. After Callie’s mother left, Alissa had offered the other girl half a KitKat in silent sympathy, but Callie had knocked the candy out of her hand and told her to go away.
Callie’s reaction made Alissa glad that she’d stolen the shoes and thrown them into the big dumpster behind the gym. It made her happy to know that Callie’s mom was mean to her, because Callie was so mean to everyone else just because she had naturally curly blonde hair and big blue eyes that sparkled like she was a Disney princess.
Callie was a princess in real life. Alissa had seen pictures of her wearing pretty princess dresses and sparkly crowns she’d won just for being pretty.
Alissa wanted a crown of her own so bad her mother bought her one from a bridal store so she could pretend to be a princess too. Alissa still had the crown, but she’d stopped wearing it when she got old enough to understand that pretending to be a princess didn’t mean that she was one, not a real one like Callie.

Holidays Bite #NewRelease #VampireRomances #ChristmasRomance
’Tis the Season…for vampires!
When the days grow shorter and dusk comes earlier, we may spend our time decorating with holly and mistletoe, drinking cider, and playing in the snow. But the creatures who stalk the night are in their element—and while visions of sugarplums dance in our heads, they’re lurking in the shadows, knowing there’s nothing so delicious as a vampire’s kiss.
So settle in for a long winter’s night full of winter holiday vampire tales from these New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling authors. Including paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and dark fantasy, this collection give a whole new meaning to the term heartwarming.
Because sometimes, the holidays truly bite.
A Whisper from the Grave
Josie Drummond breathes life onto canvas as she paints compelling portraits and scenes of people who lived and died long ago. The images are inspired by the brief flashes she witnesses during intensely painful migraine episodes. She thinks it’s just her creativity at work until the man in her paintings walks into her life one Christmas Eve. And if what she sees in her imagination is true then… Antonio is no ordinary man.
He’s a vampire.
Antonio is shocked to discover his undead life portrayed on canvases hanging along Jackson Square. Even more mysterious is the woman who paints them. How can a woman from the 21st century know of his dark past in a life he lived hundreds of years ago?

The Graves Files Case 2 by Thea Atkinson ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview #urbanfantasy, CursedHallowsEve
Blurb
Training hunters is grave business.
Call me Graves. Not just because it's my name, but because if you're a baddie of the supernatural type, I'm going to put you there. If I can't, one of my hunter partners will, and we'll die trying if we have to. If you're a new recruit who needs to be tested…you better believe the demons of this world will be happy to send you there.
Which is why I have to put this kid through the paces. He's slow. He's weak. Even worse, he's whiney. Just why the organization wants him tested is beyond me, but here I am on Devil's Night letting him duke it out with a miniature golem to prove he's worthy.
Except I'm clenching the spell he's supposed to use to de-animate the creature, so I really can't expect the kid to protect himself.
What else shouldn't I expect?
The gargantuan golem right on its heels. You know, the one we didn't make…
EXCERPT
I always thought Golems were big, brutish things. I imagined them as lumbering, single-minded creatures with clay-like skin, intent on following the edict of one man or woman who had scratched a spell into their foreheads to animate them.
I was right about the skin, the spells, and the single-mindedness. I was wrong about the size.
A fact that was perfectly evident as I leaned on a brick building in the oldest borough in the city.
The kid in the alley with me, a cocky little bastard in his late teens despite his assurance he was in his twenties, was at the moment struggling to get the best angle on a three foot golem who was, at worst, evading contact, and at best kicking the kid's ass.
Life was full of surprises it seemed. Golems could be small and fast, and kids in their teens could apply to be hunters. Go figure.
"Watch out for his penis," I said, thinking even as I said it and winced that issuing such a warning was yet another thing I didn't expect to be doing tonight.
"It's not a dick," the kid barked over his shoulder, clearly annoyed with me for insinuating that the thick appendage, badly placed and obviously meant to be a leg on a badly misshapen golem was even remotely sexual.
Whatever it looked like and was meant to be, the creature was whorling about in a circle as he evaded the kid's best attempts at controlling him. The mal-formed leg jutted out from the clay belly instead of hanging below the waist the way it should if it were a true leg, and it was as good as a club.
The leg-penis had already slammed into the kid--what was his name again--Saul? Yeah. Saul. That was it. It had already slammed Saul in the back of the knees twice and made him stagger. This time badly enough that the boy dropped to one knee.
Score one for the Golem.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Hello and welcome, readers! We have Thea Atkinson here with us today. Thea, thanks for visiting us.
How Long Have You Been A Writer And How Did You Come To Writing?
I have been a writer since my preteens, although I wouldn't have called myself a writer then. I wanted to be an actor and so I wrote little plays and stories for myself to play out beneath my eyelids as I daydreamed.
Tell Us About Your Title Featured In : A Cursed Hallows Eve
Graves Files follows our jaded beast hunter, Vicki, as she hunts supernatural creatures with her two partners and along the way searches for her own humanity. She's scrappy and lonely and mistrustful but she desperately wants to feel normal. Except everything about her life is abnormal. She's attracted to her partners and the series will have a slow burn reverse harem feel to it, while it moves along arcs reminiscent of the series Supernatural…except with a chick as the main hunter.
How Did You Come Up With The Storyline?
To be honest, it started with my newsletter. I have a catbot that writes my emails and she's fairly snarky. She accused me of wanting to write about golems when I had no desire to do so…So when I began penning the second case for Graves Files, the first thing that popped into my mind was golems. So I went with it, and now the story centers around a mysterious golem that the hunters have to stop from hurting kids on Halloween.
What Inspires You To Write?
Most days, it's not inspiration that fuels me, but love of stories. Like I said earlier, I wanted to act, so character is what drives me. What is a character's past, their wounds and things that drive them to do things. What keeps them in a state of misery or propels them to find peace and self-acceptance. As I follow that, the stories entertain me, and so I suppose it's those things that inspire me in the end.
Tell Us About Your Other Books
I have a variety of series. I write what interests me at the time. My former agent marketed me as a dark writer, and now I realize it's true. There's always an element of darkness in the stories, so whether it's an apocalyptic, biblical type dystopia like in Theta Waves, or a historical coming of age fantasy as in Witches of Etlantium, I follow the trail of shadow. I stick mostly to urban fantasy, but I go where the character leads me. So you'll see paranormal shifter romance with Rogue Huntress, Arthurian dystopia in Queen of Skye and Shadows, and vampire romance in Vampire Addictions.

Drawn In by Krista Ames ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview @kristaames #CursedHallowsEve
Blurb:
Archer Danvers was destined to be alone for the rest of his long, unending time on earth. He’d carved out a good life, but it was lonely. That is, until Mia Blackwood blew in like a hurricane and needed to be rescued.
The pull between them was undeniable.
Other immortals want her, but he has to have her. There’s a mysterious connection between them and he won’t let her go. His life was about to change in more ways than he could even know.
Excerpt:
“Another quiet night. Please end the misery.”
Why wasn’t he used to it by now? He should be glad there wasn’t upheaval. Then he’d feel obligated to get involved. Protect those needing protection. It was his neighborhood, after all. Humans were frailer than they realized.
Archer rested his fingers on the spots nearest his temple where his tension pulsated. It wasn’t as if the undead could feel their blood pressure rise but he knew from when he’d been alive years ago that those were the target areas. And who knew, anyway? Vampires had made great strides in evolving over the last few hundred years.
He was just frustrated.
He looked on from his balcony as the city slept. He didn’t care about the humans much—anymore—as he’d made a life of blood-in-a-bag or the occasional run in the nearby woods to satisfy the more basic, primal needs. He did, however, like to go mostly unnoticed among them and even had a human friend or two.
He wasn’t like the others anymore. He’d grown tired of the all-night bar life and the string of girls traipsing through his bedroom every night. He wanted to be a homebody, to be as normal as he could be and wished there were someone to share his never-ending life. He simply wasn’t attracted to any of the women like him. They had an air about them, like they were better than the rest, just because they were going to live forever.
And, unfortunately, searching for a life partner outside of his own species didn’t really constitute as a life partner. At least one that would live as long as him. And after so many years, the thought of turning someone no longer appealed to him, either. There were enough immortal in the world and who was to say it was his decision to make more.
So, basically…he was just complaining.
After a long intake of the night air, and a deep exhale, he turned to leave his balcony, same as every other night, he caught the smell. It was undeniably strong and unmistakable and gone again in a flash.
It was fear.
Not just your everyday fear though, but a shaking terror.
Another human perhaps? But why was this one calling to his inner immortal all of the sudden? He’d learned to block them out years ago. So why wasn’t it working now?
Struggling with the decision, he stood for several seconds with his back to the city, wondering if he should … deciding that he shouldn’t … but turning to look anyway. As his hands gripped the railing, the keen vampire night vision he’d been blessed with focused on the streets below. However, he saw no one. At this hour of the night, most humans were safely tucked away in their beds. Then why was it he couldn’t walk away?
He stood with his eyes closed to focus on the fear he could feel all the way to his soul. Its body shaking. Its heart beating erratically. Its quiet whimpers.
It was hiding.
It wasn’t his responsibility.
It was female.
Damn it.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Hello and welcome, readers! We have Krista Ames here with us today. Krista, thanks for visiting us.
Krista: It’s my pleasure, thanks so much for having me!
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I suppose I’ve been dabbling at being a writer for 12 or 13 years now.
I was a heavy reader back then and after reading one of my favorite authors for the millionth time, I just decided that it was something I wanted to try so I did.
Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve
My title is called DRAWN IN and it is about a vampire who had more or less become familiar with his unending existence even if it was a little lonely but then one Halloween night, there was something—different in the air…he could hear it even though there was no sound. He could sense something out there and he went in search of it…it had drawn him in.
It ended up being a piece of his existence he never knew he needed…and he couldn’t go on without her.
How did you come up with the storyline?
Honestly, I’m not sure how I came up with it. As with most of the stories I write, they just pop in my head from something I’ve seen or read or even watched.
What inspires you to write?
Lots of things inspire me, it’s not any one given thing. It could be a song or a movie, or even a sign along the road believe it or not. Just never know where it’ll come from.

Mesmerized by the Fae by Jenna Edon ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview #CursedHallowsEve #Fae
Blurb:
But it’s not what you think.
I’ve seen what the power has done to my family and I don’t want to end up like them. So I’ve carved out my own path, separate from them and the old ways.
I answer to no one and live a mostly magic-free life. There is the occasional snafu that calls for it, but I like making my own way, and doing so without having to use my power makes my life easier.
Then two sexy but imposing fae—Mekhi and Gavin—come into my life and turn it upside down. I’ve somehow found myself in the possession of a mysterious bracelet that they want back. However, when it whispers to me, I know that it’s not a mistake that it came to me. If that doesn’t convince me enough, it’s spelled to me, meaning Mekhi and Gavin couldn’t take it even if they tried.
They’re stuck with me until they can figure out how to undo the magic that is binding it to me. Only they’re not the only ones after me.
A group of men seem dead set on taking me and I can only assume it has everything to do with the bracelet. But I have not come this far to let them stop me from uncovering the reason this bracelet has chosen me.
Mekhi and Gavin are less than pleased about the circumstances, but tough. They’ll have to play nice if they want to come out of this in one piece. And boy am I eager to play. I definitely have my hands full with both fae.
Excerpt:
It was dark now with the lights off, but I could still make out the outline of Keri as she crept out of the bathroom. She paused briefly at the twin bed beside me. Mekhi was asleep and sprawled across it. She stood over him, trying to figure out if there was enough room for her to lay with him.
After a moment of consideration, she moved towards my bed and nudged me on the shoulder. She thought I was asleep, but it didn’t stop her from waking me.
She tapped my arm again. “Gavin, are you awake?”
“I am now.”
“Oh, sorry.” She glanced around our small room. “Um, where am I supposed to sleep?”
“On the bed.”
“If you haven’t noticed, Mekhi is taking up an entire bed and, well,”—she gestured towards me—“you’re huge.”
“And?”
“And there’s not enough room for me and your muscles, so could you…” she tilted her head to the side, indicating the floor.
“You want me to sleep on the floor?”
“Well, yes.”
“Absolutely not.”
“You are quite the gentlemen, you know that?”
“I told you. There’s two beds.” I shifted so that my back was flushed with the wall on the other side of the twin bed. They were small beds, but I was able to make room for her this way.
She gawked at me, but I knew she was tired. “Do you really want to wake him up?” I asked.
She turned to look at him. There was such a look of contentment across his face. “No, he looks exhausted.”
“Good, then, you’re welcome to join me.” I patted the sparse space I’d made for her on the mattress.
She didn’t argue with me this time. She lied on her back, her body rigid as though she were afraid of our flesh touching.
I snaked an arm around her svelte waist and pulled her to me.
“What are you doing?”
“You’re taking up too much room and I can’t sleep with your sharp elbows cutting into me.”
She snorted, but stopped resisting too tired to argue with me. “Your wife must be patient.”
I smiled, looking down at her delicate features in profile. “I’m unwed.”
She gasped. “Shocker.”
“Are you probing for information about my private life?” She relaxed in my arms, my chin resting on the arch of her neck. “All you have to do is ask,” I said against her neck, my lips grazing her pulse.
“You wish,” she said, but the sharp intake of air told me she didn’t mind my proximity.
She snuggled against me, rubbing against my groin, and murmured no doubt feeling the full length of my hardened cock pressing against her soft ass.
“What do you do in the Fae Realm?” she asked, rousing me from my wayward thoughts.
If she was aware of my response to her, she didn’t let me know it. “I serve on the royal guard. Well, it’s not official yet. We’ve only recently completed our training.”
“Wow, the royal guard. That’s impressive. But why did they send you here? Don’t they have messengers for this?”
“No, this was too important to send someone in our place. It was our responsibility and our mistake to fix.”
“So if you return without it. You’ll be—”
“Punished.”
“Oh, I’m sorry,”—she caressed my forearm with her thumb—“I didn’t know.”
“How could you know?”
“No, I know…it’s just that I would give it back if I could.”
“Well, let’s not worry about that right now.”
“Why not?”
“Because I’m exhausted—you exhaust me. Do you ever sleep?”
“Fine.” She yawned and curled into the nook of my arm. “Goodnight.”

AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Hello and welcome, readers! We have Jenna Edon here with us today. Jenna Edon, thanks for visiting us.
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I have been writing since 2009, but I’ve always been an avid reader since I was nine. Over the years, my joy for reading evolved into a new interest and so I decided to dabble in writing.
Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve
It’s about a mesmer (Keri) who finds the gift of the fae prince’s betrothed. It crosses over realms by itself and ends up in her possession which of course means the hot fae guards (Mekhi and Gavin) come after it and her. It’s a novelette but exciting and fun and sexy!
How did you come up with the storyline?
I love the idea of having a a mesmer as a FMC. I mean what’s not to like about a woman who can influence others just by touch? The possibilities are endless with a power like this so that is where I started to brainstorm. I also wanted to dive more into the fae world which resides in my Edonverse, so it felt right having the leading men portrayed by fae characters.
Our FMC, Keri, means well. She has this ability but she chooses not to use it often because using the ability seems like cheating. She’s well-intentioned and conscientious…but maybe a little bit of a control freak. And so Mekhi and Gavin come in, turning her world upside down a bit, and force her to relinquish some of that control she’s trying to hang onto.
What inspires you to write?
Readers and Books. I discovered my love of writing through reading books. So, I’m always reading. And of course knowing how much the readers are enjoying my work is exciting and rewarding! As jobs go, this is definitely a fun one to have and I adore it!
Tell us about your other books:
I write paranormal romance and reverse harem. I have a vampire paranormal romance trilogy called The Hunted Series and a reverse harem academy romance series called the Dark Magic Series. All my series take place in my Edonverse which means the occasional crossover with some fan favorites!

All Hallows Academy by Majanka Verstraete ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview @iheartreads #CursedHallowsEve
Blurb:
All Hallows Academy is one of the most prestigious universities in the world for witches and wizards and being accepted into All Hallows is an honor Lavinia Bloodbane and her best friend Jensen have been dreaming of for years.
The academic year at All Hallows starts with its most renowned tradition: Thirteen Days of Halloween. Each day of the thirteen days leading up to All Hallow’s Eve, a famous witch or wizard from the past is called upon and asked to reach through the veil separating the living from the death.
Lavinia wants nothing more than to fit in at All Hallows, but when something from beyond the veil reaches out to her on the First Day of Halloween, fitting in at the academy will be the least of her concerns…
Excerpt:
“This is going to be amazing!”
Jensen, my best friend, grabbed my hand and squeezed it. His smile spread from ear to ear and seeing it, I couldn’t help but smile myself.
Today was our first day at All Hallows Academy, one of the most renowned institutions for witchcraft and wizardry in the world.
Before enrolling at All Hallows, Jensen and I had attended high school together, and our number one dream for the past three years had been to get into All Hallows. We both worked hard to get here, and standing here today, it still didn’t feel real.
“I think you already grabbed some people’s attention,” I remarked, grinning as a group of girls walked past us, some of them throwing flirty glances in Jensen’s direction.
I knew my best friend was attractive, although I had never seen him that way—to me, he was the boy I had grown up with, who had gone to Miss Hecate’s Kindergarten for Magical Toddlers for the first time on the same day I did. I had accidentally made a doll come to life, courtesy of my lack of control over my powers, and Jensen had saved me by knocking the doll unconscious.
Miss Hecate was anything but pleased that one of her students had caused such havoc, but the incident had formed the foundation of my friendship with Jensen, and we had been best friends ever since.
Now we were here, roughly fifteen years later, and there was no one I would rather be here with, at All Hallows Academy.
“Yeah, right.” Jensen snorted sarcastically, referring back to my earlier comment that he had caught the eye of quite a few witches already.
Jensen had always been oblivious to his own good looks—a stark contrast with his brother, Flynn, and the one person I did not look forward to bumping into in the hallways.
Okay, that was a lie. Part of me was looking forward to it. The stupid part. The teenage-crush part.
During the summer holidays two years ago, while I spent most of my time hanging out with Jensen, I developed this enormous crush on his older brother Flynn and ended up making a fool of myself as I tried everything to get his attention. Flynn, on the other hand, practically ignored me and dated girl after girl until none of us could keep track anymore.
Chill, Liv. Don’t let him get into your head again. Flynn is old news.
At least that was what I told myself while I kept trying to catch a peek of him in the crowd, but so far, no luck.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Hello and welcome, readers! We have Majanka Verstraete here with us today. Majanka Verstraete, thanks for visiting us.
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I have been writing books ever since I learned how to write, but my first official publication dates back to about ten years ago. It was called “Mirror, Mirror”, later renamed to “Fractured”, a young adult dark fantasy novel. In the meantime, the sequel to that, “Reflected”, has also been released.
Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve
My story “All Hallows Academy” is an academy / reverse harem story told in different seasons. Season one focuses on the “Thirteen Days of Halloween”, a yearly event held at All Hallows Academy, in which a different witch or wizard from the past is honored each day during the thirteen days leading up to Halloween. The first episode of this season is featured in the box set.
How did you come up with the storyline?
I have been wanting to write in this format for a while, with different “seasons” and “episodes,” like you see on TV. I like the idea of a book episode following the format of a TV episode, with a nicely completed story while at the same time also having an overarching story arc. Since the box set is Halloween themed, and I’ve wanted to write another academy / reverse harem for a while, the rest of the inspiration came easily.
What inspires you to write?
Everything. It’s really hard to answer this one. Not a day goes by that I don’t have inspiration for one thing or another, and I really enjoy writing. It’s my favorite spare time activity and hardly ever feels like a chore.
Tell us about your other books:
I have written over forty books and counting, so there’s a lot to tell. Let me focus primarily on books in similar genres.
My “Academy for the Wicked” series will probably be of interest for readers who enjoyed “All Hallows Academy”. It’s a reverse harem academy series with all types of diabolical creatures: demons, vampires, warlocks, necromancers… It’s called “wicked” for a reason.
Then, in terms of young adult books, I have a whole lot of different series, so I’ll just sum up some of my books here. All of them can also be found on my website. I have indicated the ones that are not published yet, but that are available for pre-order.
The Soul Thief (Angel of Death Series #1) / YA Paranormal
Demonic Pact (Angel of Death Series #2) / YA Paranormal (available for pre-order)
See All Evil (Academy for the Wicked #1) / NA Reverse Harem Academy
Ghost Slayer / NA Paranormal Romance
Symphony of the Departed (Allegro Academy #1) / YA Paranormal Academy (available for pre-order)
A Study in Shifters (The Adventures of Marisol Holmes #1) / YA Paranormal Mystery / Romance
The Sign of the Serpent (The Adventures of Marisol Holmes #2) / YA Paranormal Mystery / Romance
The Wolf of the Baskervilles (The Adventures of Marisol Holmes #3) / YA Paranormal Mystery / Romance
The Conclave of Fear (The Adventures of Marisol Holmes #4) / YA Paranormal Mystery / Romance (available for pre-order)
Murder in Mind / YA Dystopian
Wicked Blood (Blood Witch #1) / YA Paranormal Romance
Fractured (Mirrorland #1) / YA Paranormal Mystery
Reflected (Mirrorland #2) / YA Paranormal Mystery
Queen’s Fall (An Alice in Wonderland Retelling) / YA Fantasy

Dark Angel by LA McGinnis ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview @LAMcGinnis1520 #CursedHallowsEve
Blurb:
My name is Catherine, and I’m here to tell you, life on the run is totally overrated.
Sure, you meet new people, see new places, but after a while, everything blurs together. Except the fact that everywhere I go, people die. That’s the one thing that never, ever changes.
Until I meet Rex, and he explains everything to me. I’m the Angel of Death, and he and his friends are going to teach me everything I need to know about being angelic.
Now my problem isn’t choosing a new city—it’s choosing which of these sexy angels will steal my heart first.
Excerpt:
“Tell me again how long you’ve looked for me?”
Rex lifted his lips from me long enough to answer, “Catherine, I’ve been looking for you my entire life.”
“That’s a very good answer,” I told him as the backs of my knees hit something immovable. We tilted over, and he fell on top of me, his legs straddling my hips, and sank into me, his cock pressing against me through our jeans. I wiggled until he was right where I needed him to be, and felt a flare of lust.
“Probably should have undressed first,” he whispered, his voice husky. “But I’ll make this work.”
I lost track of whether it was his lips or his hands that stripped me, since the sensations rocking my body seemed to have removed my ability to think clearly. I just wanted more. More friction, more pressure, more of his skin rubbing against me. I lost myself in a fog of lust and need, and I loved the headiness of this, the feeling of complete freedom. I never wanted it to go away.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Hello and welcome, readers! We have L.A. McGinnis here with us today. L.A, thanks for visiting us.
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I’ve been writing since 2007, but seriously since 2016. I was always interested in the power of stories, and took lots of college courses in mythology, Old English and Shakespeare. It wasn’t until my kids were older, I could steal the time to actually write!
Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve:
Catherine’s story begins when she has reached a dead end (literally) in her life, and is trying to figure out where to go. From there, she begins to find answers for what—and who—she really is. I’ve always found the heroine’s personal journey fascinating. For this book, I dropped the reader into the middle of the mystery, so they can discover Cat’s secrets at the same time she does.

Bind My Body by Jayelle Morgan ~ A Cursed All Hallows' Eve Author Spotlight Interview #CursedHallowsEve #zombies #witchbooks
Blurb:
I spit dirt out of my mouth and shamble home to my wife, only to find out I’ve been missing for six weeks. That’s impossible, but the last thing I remember is... Well, nothing.
My wife thinks I left her, but I love her more than life itself. Now it’s just a matter of convincing her of that as we piece together the missing time with the help of a friend.
The problem is, I’m starting to think I did something worse than just leave. That I am something worse than an unfaithful husband.
Turns out the most impossible thing to happen to me isn’t being murdered... It’s coming back.
Excerpt:
When I get home, the garage door is still up. Everything else looks normal and undisturbed. The front door is closed, and no shadows move behind the curtains.
I sit in the car, fighting off disappointment and fear. Maybe I am just crazy.
Maybe I’d been dreaming, sleep walking. I’d gone back to sleep quickly after the neighbor’s dog had quit barking, but then I’d awakened to sounds outside. Rustling, and the trashcan lid. There had been a feeling in the air, a weird pressure, but I’d ignored it, thinking raccoons had gotten into the trash. I’d turned on the light to chase them off when I’d heard the scraping at the door. Then I’d heard him say my name.
Shaking, I turn off the car and shut the garage door behind me. I won’t run again. This is my chance to see Grady, even if it is all in my head.
Breathing deep, I get out of the car and quietly enter the house. The lamp is still on in the living room, and I step toward the warm glow. As I round the corner, I see him, and stop. My knees weaken under me and I sink into a chair. “Oh my God.”
He's lying on the couch, looking gray, dirty, and thin, and just as dead as he should be.
But then he opens his eyes and turns his head toward me. “I’m sorry I scared you. Can we talk?”
However he appeared, whatever he is, my dead husband is lying on our couch, talking to me.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Hello and welcome, readers! We have Jayelle Morgan here with us today. Jayelle, thanks for visiting us.
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I’ve been writing seriously for about four years. It’s something I always wanted to do since reading romance novels when I was young. One day I decided to write a story that I had been thinking about before bed for many years. That was book 1 in my first series, Burn!
Tell us about your title featured in: A Cursed All Hallows’ Eve
My book is Bind My Body. It’s a spooky, emotional, fun intersection of Voodoo magic, zombies, and romance.
How did you come up with the storyline?
I was listening to a song, and this story just ‘showed up’, playing like a movie reel in my head. It was after a health scare with my husband, so between the song, my fears for him, and my love of PNR, this story was born.
What inspires you to write?
Emotions, mainly. I want to make people feel things when they read my stories.
Tell us about your other books:
My other books are all mainly in my Elemental Hearts series. It’s a series about HOT warriors with elemental powers, falling in love and saving the world!
Where can readers find you?
