I was minding my own business, testing a newly installed engine on Santa's sleigh when it suffered a slight malfunction. I found myself spiraling out of control. Then a bright beam of light hits from above, and I'm taken on board a spaceship.

Jaxar is a sexy, to-die-for, green-skinned alien who thinks I'm stealing his salvage.

He's never met an elf.

Well, I've never met an alien.

With no way to get home, I need Jaxar's help. Can we work together to fix Santa's sleigh in time to save Christmas?

A short, steamy, happy-for-now romance between a quirky elf and a brooding alien.

Excerpt:

After the creaking of metal silenced, the sleigh bumped against something solid. The sensation of floating dissipated. Again, I was firmly entrenched in my seat.

The light vanished. Everything went black. I blinked several times, panic rising when I suspected the bright light had blinded me completely. I couldn’t see anything until I spotted the red light flashing from the console.

No, I wasn’t blind. I was in some dark place where I could no longer see the stars.

Unsure what to do, I remained in my seat.

Had I died? Did the sleigh crash? Was this what happened after elves died? Humans often spoke of light at the end of a tunnel. Well, I had seen a light. Not so much a tunnel, but—

Light flickered on around me, illuminating a rather spacious room.

Okay, so I wasn’t dead.

The room was expansive. Far larger than the biggest workshop at home. I’d never been in such a room. There were no windows. Only two doors, one on either end of the large space.

The light came from fixtures on the ceiling, spaced evenly apart.

Piles of metal cluttered the area on the floor. Random parts of twisted machines. Wait… Was that a rocket at the other end of the room?

I tapped my finger on the wheel and bit my lip.

“Um…”

Where in all the land of peppermint was I?

And then a man appeared in one of the doorways.

Well, I thought it was a man. He looked like a man at first glance, but as he approached, I realized how wrong my assumption was when I saw smooth green skin.

My jaw dropped. I couldn’t help it. I’d never seen a man with such skin. It glistened as he strode forward, his body moving like an animal stalking prey, smooth, fluid movements, his muscles bunching in anticipation of attack.

It was mesmerizing to watch.

Other than the tantalizingly colorful skin, he wore clothes as any other man would wear. Well, maybe not many human men. This one wore brown trousers and a leather vest revealing his large, well-cared for green abdomen and biceps.

As he closed the distance between us, I could better see his facial features. He had dark eyes, a strong nose with a strange bumpy ridge near the top, and a determined chin covered with a dusting of dark hair. His black hair was sheared short and a silver chain dangled on the lobe of his left ear.

He had the look of a green-skinned pirate. I shivered in anticipation as he approached. I had never been struck by a man’s appearance before, but this one knocked my candy-cane striped socks right off from under my booted feet.

“Who are you?” I asked as he drew closer, grateful it had taken some time for him to reach me so I could find my voice. “What is this place?”

I swept my gaze around the overly large room as my rather small in comparison sleigh sat off center.

The green-skinned alien lifted his arm to point a cylindrical metal object at me. I’d never seen a ray-gun before, but I assumed this is what one might look like.

I raised my hands at the intense expression on the alien’s face.

That’s what he was, wasn’t he?

An alien?

I tried to piece together the facts as my brain fought the evidence right before my eyes.

A bright light beaming me up.

A green-skinned man with a ray gun pointed at me.

Yeah. I’d been abducted by an alien.

Wait until the elves at the North Pole heard about this one.

“What is your purpose here?” The alien barked, keeping the ray gun leveled at my chest.

I swallowed hard as I watched the sexy alien hold a weapon at my heart.

“My purpose?” I frowned. What did he mean by that?

“What are your intentions?”

My frown only deepened, but a spark of irritation lit, chasing some fear away.

“My intentions?” I lowered my raised hands, feeling foolish for standing there like I was some criminal. I had done nothing wrong. In fact, I’d been minding my own business until he abducted me. “I intended to fly my sleigh to test the engines. Everything was going like plum pudding until you came along with that bright-ass light of yours.”

The alien’s mouth quirked, but he kept the weapon trained on me, stepping closer.

“You were flying an unknown spacecraft above Seattle. I’ve seen nothing like it. Again, I ask, what are your intentions with this planet?”

“My intentions with this planet?” I scoffed. “This is my planet. I live here. I intend to live the rest of my life here unless you end it with that ray gun of yours.” I crossed my arms over my chest as if to protect my heart should he shoot me. “What about you? You’re not from around here. What are your intentions?”

The Alien Lottery Books 1-3 + A Christmas novella bonus for #99cents! #AlienRomance @MargoBondCollin

Get the complete first season of the Alien Bride Lottery in this collection!

Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery

There are a million ways to end up in the Alien Bride Lottery. But it takes only one.

Every unmarried female human over the age of 21 gets entered once a year. You can also accept extra entries for legal infractions—instead of paying a parking fine, for example, you can request an extra entry. Lots of women do that. I mean, why not? The chances are astronomical that your name will get chosen to be one of the hundred or so women who get shipped off to space every year.

And even if your name is drawn, the odds are slim that you’ll match up with an alien who’s looking for a mate.

Most of the lottery-drawn women come back to Earth every year and resume their lives as if nothing changed.

But some don’t.

And no matter what, getting drawn in the Lottery means you have to compete in the Bride Games.

Guess that's where I'm heading now.

I only hope I can avoid catching the eye of one of the giant, rainbow-hued brutes whose mission is to protect Earth—and who can claim me as a mate.

All because I was Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery…

Captured for the Alien Bride Lottery

I refused to be in the Bride Lottery—so now I’m a runaway bride.

Somehow, I knew my name was going to be drawn in the Bride Lottery—the hellish agreement that Earth’s leaders had made to sell us to the aliens who protected our planet.

I’d grown up with the propaganda. It was our civic duty. Men registered for the draft, women registered for the Bride Lottery.

No way in hell was I going to be handed over to some giant man to be brutalized into bearing his children.

Instead, I cut out my bio-tracker and walked away from everything.

I should have realized they’d send one of those hulking, brightly colored aliens to track me down and bring me back.

Never did I expect that he’d be devastatingly attractive. Or that we’d have to go on the run from the evil Horde trying to destroy both our planets.

Now that we’re together, can I ever run away again?

And could he really hand me over to the Bride Games to be taken by another warrior?

Because I think I might be falling in love…

Claimed for the Alien Bride Lottery

I thought I’d escaped being given to an alien warrior. I was wrong.

I was one hour away from washing out of the Alien Bride Games.

None of the Khanavai warriors had chosen me, and I was scheduled on the next shuttle off the filming station.

But then a bright red alien passed me in a hallway—and the next thing I knew, we were all over each other.

Bad enough that my name had been drawn in the Bride Lottery.

Now, even though they’re supposedly over, I’m back in the Games. And not the usual ones, either—a whole new set of challenges, just for me.

Guess it’ll make for good television back home.

I just hope I can resist him long enough to get back to Earth, to the people I love.

And that I can keep him from learning my most desperate secret.

The odds aren’t looking good, though…

PLUS Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery

When Lola graduates from college a semester early, she’s left without a job or even any real prospects. She takes a holiday position working as a Christmas Elf at the local mall, only to learn to loathe all things Christmas.

So when her name is drawn for the Alien Bride Lottery’s new “Holiday Special,” she’s almost relieved. Until she meets Valtin, the Khanavai warrior who has decided to make her his own. He’s fascinated with human holiday traditions, especially Christmas.

Can a cranky Christmas Elf and an overeager alien male find the magic of the season together?

Every book in the Khanavai Warrior Bride Games series is a standalone romance. Join these brides as they find a whole new world of happily ever afters.

ATTRA Chronicles 1 by D.F. Jones ~ #AlienEmbrace Collection #Excerpt #scifirom #NewRelease

A.T.T.R.A. Chronicles 1 (A Spinning Time Novella) by D.F. Jones

Alien Time Travel Research Agency (ATTRA) Tracker Commander Ruben returns to Lunar City with his talking alien dog Klock after capturing a known galaxy smuggler. Prince Aelius contacts him and initiates a new project to protect Cradon, a royal from Olzin. Ruben, and his team, Charlie, Saira, and Klock, return to Earth. After meeting the alien, their team encounters resistance trying to intervene in the interspecies conflict with The Reptilian Hybrids (The RH Squad). Charlie gets shot, and Ruben's world starts to crumble. He loves Charlie, but he's been afraid to tell her, and now he could lose her.

Charlie's been in love with Ruben since the day she fell into a naturally occurring time portal at Woodstock. He trains her to become a Tracker; they become partners, leading to a deeper relationship. Charlie is tough as nails, but her patience is running thin with Ruben's inability to commit. Should she stay with Ruben or move on? The Olizn mission to protect Cradon opens the door to many revelations that will change her future, and everyone else's on the team. How? Only time will tell.

Excerpt:

"Charlie, you cannont treat the alien with contempt. He's from an entirely different galaxy."

"You can't tell me what to do." She looked out the passenger window. Her hands curled into fists.

Ruben whipped the Ford four by four off the road and stopped at a closed gas station. "Look at me. Damn it, Charlie, look at me."

She turned and glared.

"I most certainly can tell you what to do. I'm your superior on this project, and I won't allow your anger at me to jeopardize it. If you don't get it together, I'll send you back to ATTRA."

Klock jumped in the middle. "Children, do I need to put you in a time out?"

In unison, they shouted, "Shut up, Klock."

"Geesh, can't anyone take a joke anymore?" He hopped onto the floorboard. "Keep it up, and I'll wash my hands of the both of you."

The night was hot and sticky, so Ruben cranked the a/c. He threaded his fingers through his sweat-drenched hair. He closed his eyes and inhaled Charlie's sweet scent of jasmine. The time had come to either tell her the truth or let her go for good.

He stared into her eyes. "I love you, Charlie." His hand caressed her cheek.

The silence stretched.

"Did you hear me?"

With a whisper, she said, "I love you. I've always loved you even when you didn't see me."

"Oh, Darling, I saw you from the first moment I laid eyes on you, but I'm damaged goods. The things I've seen, the things I've done." He looked away, but she turned his face toward her again.

"We've both done things we aren't proud of, Ruben. I love you anyway. I'll always love you, no matter if we go our separate ways. Life has no guarantees. Love is a gift. Can't you see that? Don't run from it. Run toward it because, at the end of the day, love is all that matters." She unbuckled her seatbelt and scooted next to him.

"That's beautiful." Klock sniffled.

Ruben took her into his arms. "I want to run to you," he said with a slight hitch in his voice. "I want to run towards you." He crushed her with a kiss that was fiery hot, burning with desire, imprinting him to her forever. His tongue slid between the seams of her lips, and she moaned. He unzipped her jeans and slid his hand down her stomach and over her mound of tender flesh.

High beams flooded the truck.

Fear pitted in his gut - not for himself, but Charlie.

Ruben glanced in the mirror. His heart raced as black SUVs surrounded them.

Charlie zipped her jeans and fastened her seatbelt.

"Hold on. It's going to get ugly." He started the ignition. The engine roared. "Watch it, Charlie, infrared coming in."

Charlie ducked as bullets penetrated the windshield, cracking the glass.

Ruben floored it, knocking one of the SUVs out of the way just enough to clear a path, spraying gravel in the air. He sped along the highway, running off the shoulder, then yanking the steering wheel, pulling it back onto the pavement.

He glanced at Charlie slumped in the seat. "Darling, please say something. Klock, check if she's hit and where."

Klock jumped into the front seat, nudging his way under Charlie, blood covered his white coat of fur. "It's a tangential peripheral wound, non-fatal, but she's losing blood. She needs the hospital."

Charlie came to and managed to croak out, "No, ER. That's what they want. We have a surgical room at the house. You're the only doctor I need."

They lost the assassins after maneuvering the back roads, so he drove to the safe house. Whoever shot Charlie would pay.

He stopped the vehicle around the back of the house, jumped out, and opened the passenger door. "Put your arms around me." Charlie did as he requested, her head lolled on his shoulder. "Klock, run ahead for Saira."

Saira met them at the kitchen door. "What happened?"

"The RH squad shot Charlie," Klock barked. "But we lost them."

Ruben strode to the surgical room down the hall and placed Charlie in the hospital bed. He gingerly peeled away her bloodied clothes.

She screamed.

"I'm sorry, Charlie. I know it hurts."

Saira brought over a syringe with pain meds and inserted the needle into Charlie's thigh while Ruben started an I.V. on her good hand.

Cradon seemed to float into the room. "I can heal her if you will allow me." The alien's hair stood on its end like he'd been stuck in an electrical outlet.

Ruben decided to trust Cradon. He took a step back. "I'll be in your debt." He watched as the alien fingertips manipulated into what appeared as surgical instruments.

Cradon worked on Charlie for fifteen minutes before he turned and said, "The wound's healed. She will bruise, but no shrapnel is inside her body. She needs rest."

"I'm not leaving her." Ruben pulled a chair over to the bed.

"We'll be outside if you need anything." The electricity in Cradon's hair disappeared, his fingertips returned to normal. Cradon turned to Saira and Klock and pointed to the door. They left the room.

Ruben tenderly caressed Charlie's hand. He could've lost her today. He would never take her love for granted again.

The Alien's Princess by Debbie Hope ~ #AlienEmbrace Collection #Excerpt #scifiromance #NewRelease

The Alien's Princess by Debbie Hope

In a world far away from Earth, a small camp of survivors of a ship crash, try to survive a harsh life of almost no water and a barbaric life.

The king of the Regilians finds Ellie almost dead. His attraction is all consuming and he takes her with him to his home.

The queen, his mother, wants him to wed a Regilan female not some weak human. So, she goes out of her way to make Ellie less desirable.

Excerpt:

The creature before me is the most beautiful female I have ever seen. Dark hair and tan, soft skin. Dark eyes. Things I’ve never seen before.

She’s lying with her face in the sand, her breath puffing grains of sand into the air. I run my hand over the top of my head that has hair and down the sides of my hairless skull. Even as I stare down at her I fluff my hair with muscles under the skin so it stands up more. I’m proud of the length and feathering at the top of the dark strands. It’s a darker purple than my skin. Almost black.

A strong wind gusts sand over her body. Burying her faster for the creatures that live underneath the ground. Waiting for this feast. I won’t let that happen.

I glance about trying to find some of her people to help her but there’s no one but me. I stand with my clawed hands on my hips not knowing what to do. Which is unacceptable since I am king. I have never been in this position before though.

Warrior in Chains by Luna Jade ~ #AlienEmbrace Collection #Excerpt #SciFiRomance

Warrior in Chains by Luna Jade

I've seen him on my trips to the wasteland. The chained warrior is a prisoner to a faction of militants who have claimed power and dominion over Mazian.

He's not one of them but a half-breed warrior from another planet. I can't escape his gaze when he catches me stealing from the guard's stores. He could have raised the alarm, taken me to trade for a favor, or probably killed me with his bare hands. He is that undeniably fierce and strong. But he did the unexpected. He hid me when the guards came, and took the blame for the trespass sirens I'd set off.

So, I'm doing the only humane thing in return. I'm freeing the chained warrior...

Excerpt:

Drip-drop…stringy tendrils of wetness slid down my forehead. Wiping the goo away, I brought my hand into view to see it was...blood. Bile instantly bubbled up from my stomach. The sound of snapping jaws above me, known to be more powerful than a dragon's jaw, had my heart in my throat along with the bile. Suddenly, my whole body tensed up, a burning sensation of something sharp skittered across the back of my neck.

A claw.

I reacted to the pain by jolting to the side and stepped into a slimy puddle of guts, doing exactly what I didn't want to do. No, no, no!

Quickly, I grabbed the edge, digging my long nails into the rough terrain. This is not how I planned it to go. I had to come up with a backup plan and fast. My grip on the edge was slipping, causing an idea to pop into my head; if you wanted to outsmart a wild creature, you had to think like one. What did a Feral want more than anything?

 Fresh blood.

The Mazian cliffs had serrated edges, so I slid my wrist across the jagged rock, gritting my teeth and lacerating my skin in between my scales deep enough to draw blood. I held my wrist over the darkness below, praying to the star Gods my plan would work. "Do you want it?" I beamed up, looking the red-eyed beast square in the eyes. It reared back on all fours, answering with an ear-shattering roar. Still, it was do or die. "Then come and get it." I gave my wrist a shake, sending drops of my blood into the black hole.

GRRR!

The enormous creature leaped down into the depths below following the trail of blood to its impending doom. I didn't waste another minute, pulling up the side of the cliff, breaking my nails in the process. I leaned against the wall of the cliff, unable to reel in air. The cracking of his bones hitting the ground below echoed all

Ice Planet Prison by Alexis B. Osborne

"The courts sentence you to ten years of hard labor on Boreas..."

Even facing down a decade behind bars on an inhospitable alien world, Keira Wescott is still able to hold her head high. Protecting her little sister from her sleazy stepfather's advances was worth any penalty, any price.

Tired of the world turning a blind eye to injustice, Keira refuses to be cowed by anyone. Not even the other residents of the Boreas Prison Colony. But pride and prison don't mix, and soon enough, others who want to break her rear their heads.

Ylur is the sole Bera prisoner in the colony - and easily the biggest and baddest one roaming the prison yard. An intimidating giant with white hair, turquoise eyes, and wicked horns, only a fool would get on his bad side. He's unmoved by the weak-willed humans, except for one little inmate who seems to carry herself with honor...

As the enormous, clingy alien takes a keen interest in Keira, the colony is besieged by native creatures. When it's partially destroyed, can she really take a chance and escape with his help?

The planet might be cold, but Ylur's bed is warm enough for both of them. Can she possibly survive the dangers and intrigue of the ice planet, or will the tribal beasts of the frozen wastes break her?

“As I recall, you were the one who demanded to ride me,” he deflected.

Redness bloomed across her skin, her cheeks and the tips of her ears darkening with the color. A pair of warm, brown eyes flicked down his exposed front, landing on his lap before skittering away.

Her embarrassment and sexual interest battered at the edges of his awareness, their presence chasing her grief and anger away.

Interesting.

Reaching out to brush her hair off her rounded ears so he could see this color change better, he was pleased when the color deepened. It reminded him of the mountain cats who could change their fur from white to dark gray to blend in better with their surroundings as they hunted. If this color change was supposed to help her camouflage then it was doing a poor job.

If anything, it just made him want to look at her even more. The tips of her ears were nearly bright red. He traced a finger over the rounded edge of it, appreciating how different it was to the pointed ears of his own kind.

A shiver passed through her, her sexual interest increasing, beating out the embarrassment.

Very interesting.

“That’s not…” she swallowed, “I didn’t.”

Running his finger down her jaw, he cupped her chin and forced her to meet his eyes. “You did. You chose to follow. You could have stayed in that dome, that prison, with your people. I would not have let my warriors harm you.”

Her lips parted, letting out a little puff of air as she exhaled. The sight of her soft, pink mouth opening sent a shock of desire through him that made him drop his hand from her like he’d been struck by lightning.

The musk of her scent changed. Deepend. The smell of it sent a pulse right to his groin.

What was he doing lusting after his strange little female? He was supposed to be interrogating her.

The Alien and the Elf #NewRelease #Excerpt #scifiromance #ChristmasinJuly

My name is Noelle, and I'm an elf.

I was minding my own business, testing a newly installed engine on Santa's sleigh when it suffered a slight malfunction. I found myself spiraling out of control. Then a bright beam of light hit from above, and I'm taken on board a spaceship.

I stared out the window. Earth spun far, far below. The blues and whites swirling together in a mixture of ocean and atmosphere. I never dreamed I’d see my home from this distance.

I glanced over my shoulder where the alien stood fiddling with a panel just outside the room. He’d locked me in here a few hours ago, then left. I presume he used the time to inspect my sleigh.

“You better not have damaged it any more than you already have.”

“What?” He didn’t pause whatever he was doing as his fingers flew over buttons. I could hear tiny beeps echoing from the panel.

“My sleigh,” I said, crossing my arms over my chest. “You better not have damaged my sleigh.”

“I did nothing to your vehicle.”

“Like spicy gum drops, you didn’t.” I moved away from the small window where I’d been gazing at my planet to step closer to the door. There was an electrified, invisible barrier between us. I’d discovered it after he had shoved me into the room, then hit some buttons on the panel and left. I had tried to follow him but got zapped as soon as I touched the barrier.

It hadn’t been a pleasant sensation.

“I was taking the sleigh on a test flight,” I said, leaning against the wall to watch him as he concentrated on the panel. “It was going peachy until you and your bright as glistening snow light showed up. What did you do to it? How did you make it malfunction like that?”

“I did nothing to your… sleigh.” His dark brows bunched together as he spoke the word like it was foreign to him. “I was salvaging when I caught sight of movement. I went to investigate. That’s when I found you.” He paused his business with the panel to tilt his gaze toward me. Heat flashed through me at the intensity of his gaze. “It appeared your vehicle was in distress. I believe I saved you.”

A small, confident smile accompanied his words. While the zinging sensation stirred strangely in my nether regions, I tightened my fingers into fists beneath my crossed arms.

“There was a slight malfunction,” I stated between clenched teeth. “If I’d had some time, I would have figured it out and fixed it.”

“Uh-huh.” He nodded, the smile still in place as he went back to work on the panel. “Or you would have been squashed on the ground below. You and your sleigh.”

I shook my head, refusing to believe it even as a tiny voice in my head admitted that he was probably right. I still don’t know what went wrong with the sleigh. The engines shouldn’t have stalled. While waiting in this room, I’d gone over in my mind everything I had done with the engines. Failing like that… It shouldn’t have happened.

I hated to admit it, but I was going to have to take it apart, maybe even start from scratch. Rebuild from the ground up. It was the only way to be sure it didn’t happen again.

What if it had been Santa in that sleigh on Christmas Eve?

The thought sent chills through me.

No, I had to be sure the engine was perfect before letting the big man take it for his annual journey. If something went wrong during flight, he wouldn’t know how to fix it.

I sighed, saddened I let Santa down this year. Not only did the engine not work, but I went and got abducted by an alien, too. I had to get back to the North Pole. I had to tell Santa that he’d have to take the magic reindeer on the journey this year. Let him know the engine didn’t work. Or I had to fix it.

“How long are you going to keep me here?” I leaned my shoulder against the wall, careful not to get too close to the invisible barrier between us. “I have things to do and you’re wasting my time.”

The alien chuckled low. “I plan on keeping you until I know what planet you’re from, because you’re not from this one.” He raised one dark eyebrow as he glanced at me, his gaze taking me in from the red hat on my head to my little black boots. “I want to know what kind of competition I have.”

“Competition?” I scowled, leaning closer. “What do you mean?”

“You know exactly what I mean.”

“No, I don’t. How many times do I have to tell you? I’m from Earth.”

“Right. And what exactly were you doing flying over Seattle?”

“I told you. Testing the engines on the sleigh.”

“Uh-huh.” He nodded. “And what are your intentions with that sleigh?”

“We’re back to this again. I feel like we’re talking in circles.” I huffed my dismay, then shook my head. “Let’s start again, shall we? Hi! My name is Noelle and I’m an elf. What’s your name?”

“An elf?” The alien’s brows lowered again as he looked at me. “I thought elves were extinct on this planet.”

“Obviously not.” I waved one hand over my body indicating that I was very much not extinct.

“Don’t elves live in trees? They’re little people. You’re too tall to be an elf.”

“Elves come in all shapes and sizes just like humans. Just how do you know anything about elves anyway?” I scoffed, placing a hand on my hip. “You’re an alien.”

“I’ve visited this planet a time or two. Or twenty. I’ve learned something about the culture.”

“Well, you haven’t learned enough about elves because you’re looking at one.” With that, I lifted my white-trimmed red hat from my head, revealing my mess of blonde hair still tied in a wreck of a ponytail and the tips of my pointed ears for his view.
