Nonfiction Books That Can Change Your Life #LongandShortReviews #BlogChallenge

This week's topic: The nonfiction book everyone should read and why

The difficult part of this week's challenge is that I LOVE to share books and it is torture to only pick one!

Now, for this list, I've excluded writing craft and marketing books. The only reason I've done so is the challenge was to pick a non-fiction book EVERYONE should read. While I do think everyone should read writing craft books, I also realize not everyone will be interested in those, so I put those favorites aside.

Yes, I put a lot of thought into these posts. So, I couldn't come up with just one, but I did narrow it down to two. (And a list at the bottom! Yes, I can't help myself.)

The first book I think everyone should read is a book I only recently read myself called Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

Ask and It Is Given, by Esther and Jerry Hicks, which presents the teachings of the nonphysical entity Abraham, will help you learn how to manifest your desires so that you're living the joyous and fulfilling life you deserve.

As you read, you'll come to understand how your relationships, health issues, finances, career concerns, and more are influenced by the Universal laws that govern your time-space-reality—and you'll discover powerful processes that will help you go with the positive flow of life.

It's your birthright to live a life filled with everything that is good—and this book will show you how to make it so in every way!

What the Bleep Do We Know!?: Discovering the Endless Possibilities for Altering Your Everyday Reality by William Arntz, Betsy Chasse, and Mark Vicente is the second book I highly recommend. This book presents a look at combining spirituality and science which I absolutely adore! You may have heard of the documentary that was done a few years ago, which I also think you should watch! It was fascinating! I found it on YouTube if anyone wants to give it try. This book changed the way I see the world and emphasized to me there are still so many things out there that we don't know or understand.

Gravity sometimes doesn't work.

Some things are both waves and particles. . .at the same time.

Electrons simply disappear . . . all the time. If the universe is this wild and unpredictable, so full of possibility, why are your thoughts about your own life so limited? Hundreds of years ago, science and religion split apart; they became antagonists in the great game of explanation and discovery. But science and religion are two sides of the same coin. They both help explain the universe, our place in the great plan and the meaning of our lives. In fact, they can only begin to do that adequately when they work together.

What the Bleep Do We Know?!TM is a book of amazing science. With the help of more than a dozen research and theoretical scientists, it takes you through the looking glass of quantum physics into a universe that is more bizarre and alive than ever imagined. Then it takes you beyond, into the outer-inner edges of our scientific knowledge of consciousness, perception, body chemistry and brain structure. What is a thought made of? What is reality made of? And most importantly, how does a thought change the nature of reality?

This science leads not just to the material world, but deep into the realm of spirituality. If observation affects the outcome, we aren't merely part of the universe, but participants in it. If thoughts are more than random neural firings, than consciousness is more than an anatomical accident. A higher power exists, but is it truly out there? Where is the dividing line between out there and in here?

This is not a book of definitive answers. This is a book of mind stretching questions. It is a book that shows you not the path, but the endless possibilities. Do you think you have to go to the same job every day, do the same errands, think the same thoughts, feel the same way? Well, think again.

For me, these two books came into my life at just the right moment. I was going through a really tough time. My life was a long list of challenges and complications that I needed to face and I didn't know how I was going to manage.

I'm not sure what made me pick up these books, probably my desperation for help, but I'm glad I did. I've always believed in manifesting. I've done it before, but these books really helped me understand that manifesting isn't just luck or hope. There are vibrations we send into the Universe. We all do. And those vibrations are returned.

While I've read manifesting books that teach you to harness the power of positivity, Ask and It Is Given was the first one that taught examples of methods to help you reach that higher level of joy and happiness. It's almost like a list of games you can play to help shift your vibration. That section of the book has helped me tremendously. And it's fun!

What the Bleep Do We Know!? helped me understand that this is science. This is our reality. And we create our reality with our own vibrations. All the things happening to me, I attract with my vibration. Once I learned to shift it, things began falling into place. I'm still learning and experimenting, but the results are undeniable. I'm walking proof. This stuff works!

Need more convincing? Here are some other books along this same topic that I read and enjoyed. They all sort of spell out the same message.

My Review
This book is a fantastic addition to any writer's library. Whether you're just starting out and need a how-to book with simple steps or a veteran writer who wants to add to your collection of informative writing library, this book will satisfy you both.

I've been writing for nearly two decades, and enjoyed reading the The Miracle Morning for Writers. There are several tips that I intend to try and a few that I already have. It was interesting to learn about Life S.A.V.E.R.S. and I can see how beneficial such a program can be for a morning person.

I highly recommend this book for writers as well as the other books in this series. If this one is an example of the other Miracle Morning books, then I'm sure it will help anyone who is looking to change their life for the better.
